Elijah's Nursery

We are currently nomads. We have no home. We left our rental home tucked away in Birmingham and are scheduled to move into our new apartment in Seattle sometime next week depending on when our crate arrives. We are staying with family in the meantime and thought I would reflect on a time when we were not nomads and take you on a tour of Elijah's nursery, one of our favorite rooms in our old house.

We had so much fun decorating Elijah's nursery. We started brainstorming after we found out baby fee was a boy. A couple of things we had in mind when we were planning his nursery were the following:

-We are renters (and knew we would be for a while) and did not want to paint our neutral walls so everything else in the room needed to be colorful.

-We did not want to have to re-decorate when Elijah turned 2 so nothing too babyish.

-We did not want anything to be too theme-y.

-We did not have a ton of money to spend so we needed to work with and re-purpose what we had.

-We wanted to be able to re-use certain things for future kiddos.

-We wanted to incorporate the Great Commission into His room which is something we pray greatly impacts Elijah's life as it has ours.

Here is what we came up with!

Can't wait to set up EH's room again once we make it to Seattle!
